I’m Posting Every Week in 2011!

Well, I’ve hooked up with some friends, and we’re going to participate in the 2011 National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge starting 11/1/11. So, without further ado, I wanted to let you know I’m gonna try out the PostAWeek to wake up my muse a bit.

Ok, so it’s almost the end of the year, right? Better late than ever!

If you feel inclined to join me , just jump in, and we’ll see what keewwwl things arise from our sparks of creativity.  Here’s the main link for NaNoWriMo if you wanna scope it out:  http://www.nanowrimo.org/

You can find http://dailypost.wordpress.com/ right here.  Lots ‘o’ inspiring and thought-provoking questions there.

On the PostAWeek2011 page I just saw a featured post with the heading:  ”Are you ok?”

What a loaded question that is!  I get that all the time with my MS. When people ask me that, my immediate response is:  ”Do you want the long version or the Reader’s Digest Condensed version?”

To be continued. . . .

Peace Out,

Lissy

    “Are you ok?”

This is almost identical to the question “How are you feeling today?” There’s 1000 ways you could answer that question! Sometimes people don’t want to hear the long version, and you can usually sense it in the tone of their voice or by a simple eye gaze. .There are others who really want to know how you feel and give you their full attention from their hearts. The difference between the two, is the former is superficial and skin deep, while the latter is trully authentic.

I am at a point in my life right now where I don’t do superficial anymore. It kind of sticks in my craw. I figure if you don’t have time to give me your full attention and have meaningful conversation with me, perhaps you’re not friend material for me in the first place, right? This is about emotional investment, and the older I get, the more I gravitate towards being present in the moment with people I love and care about. Now, I select people into my life, and I have divorced from some for my own sanity and well-being.
